Laga Surf Camp was opened/ started in 2009 with the illusion of two people (Naiara and Gorka) to undertake a new project and start a new life whose meaning is surfing, and offer this life experience to others.
The chosen location is in Ibarrangelu (Bizkaia) where we can find two of the best beaches in the Basque Country both in terms of beauty and being a privileged place to be within the biosphere reserve of Urdaibai.

At Laga Surf Camp we set up our house as a Rural House to host people who wanted to come and enjoy the surfing experience, as well as to visit and discover the villages and culture of Bizkaia and taste our gastronomy.
In 2010 we created the first surf school in Laga, with facilities on the beach itself, with the possibility of having the material for surfing right on the spot. With this, we introduced another service on the beach that was not being offered at that time, “surf courses on theLaga Beach“.
What can we do at Laga Surf Camp?
Surf Camp for adults, surf camps for young people, surf courses for children, teenagers and adults, for groups and individuals. Surf courses for all levels, beginners, advanced and beginners, surf equipment rentals, stan up paddle trips, accommodation in agritourism and hostel.
Hostel or rural house?
You choose, located in Ibarrangelu next to the Urdaibai biosphere reserve.
Laga Surf Camp has enriched us as people, we have met people who have come from all over the world, we have made friends from near and far who have encouraged us to continue with our project and have helped us along the way. For us it is a pleasure to feel how much they enjoy us and for that we thank them for visiting us every year.
As abusiness we have been growing by extending our facilities with a fully equipped and very comfortable Hostel in the village of Ibarrangelu, providing services to a higher number of visitors and we have also settled on the beach of Laida/Mundaka, creating our second Surf School.

We have been awarded the Basque Government's quality label thanks to the good practice programme.
Over these years we have been part of the good practices programme promoted by the Basque Government through Urremendi and have been granted the Basque Government’s QUALITY label.
We also belong to the group of businessof the Surfing Euskadi product club promoted by Basquetour, Tourism Agency of the Basque Government.

The Laga Surf School, with a cabin identified as LAGA SURF CAMP ESKOLA, located in the parking of Laga beach, a perfect spot for surfing. It is a beautiful dune beach located in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve, next to Cape Ogoño.

The Laida-Mundaka Surf School is located on Laida Beach, on the coast of Bizkaia (Basque Country), a perfect spot for surfing for beginners (Laida) and experts (Mundaka, considered one of the 10 best waves in the world).
Mundaka, "The best left-hand wave in the world".
The wave at Mundaka Beach has become a reference point for surfers all over the world, as it is classified as “the best left-hand wave in the world”. Not in vain, it has the category of “surf reserve” and every year the World Surfing Championship takes place there.
