Beginner surfing courses, learn the thrill of surfing from the best professionals.

In the surfing beginners courses we transfer the basic knowledge for the initiation to the exciting surfing world. They are taught by qualified and experienced instructors and include the specific material for learning.

Courses structure, knowledge and techniques

From Laga Surf Camp and our years of experience we have designed a 5-day surf course of 2 hours each day in which we include all the theory and practical material for a beginner’s introduction to surfing, we include topics such as:

Introduction to surfing and its components
Safety measures in the sea and with the surfing equipment.
Sea currents
Visualisation of the waves
Positioning to catch the wave
Paddling technique
How to stand up on the board
And of course, before entering the water, a good warm-up which will include practising the movements and positions of surfing.
Recommendations of the best stretching and functional training to improve your surfing.

What do the surf courses include?

Taught by qualified and experienced instructors.
They last 2 hours/day
The courses include surf material: surfboard and wetsuit, specific for learning how to surf.
The groups are of one instructor for every 6 people.
Course times will depend on the tides and sea conditions.
We have civil responsibility and accident insurance

Beginners

For beginner surfing courses we offer 2 options: The Laga Surf School or the Laida-Mundaka Surf School.

In the beginner surf courses we transmit the basic knowledge for the initiation to the surfing practice.
